Learnings.

Learnings are curious things.

The greatest lessons don’t come dressed as lessons. They usually disguise themselves as challenges, obstacles, disappointments, problems, and confusion.

That’s how they teach us pulling us out of the comfort of what we already know, leading us into unfamiliar territory, the kind we never choose to enter simply because we don’t like it, because it makes us uncomfortable.

Sometimes, they catch us off guard,beyond plans, beyond control, beyond expectations. They stop us by force.

That’s their trick, and probably the only way.

They confuse us, unsettle us, frustrate us, sicken us, leave us stunned, immobilized. They wait for the perfect ground,where our old knowledge no longer serves us, forcing us to put aside our outdated certaintiesand wear the apprentice’s apron once more by fatigue and by surrender.

And then, slowly, veeeery slowly, only at the right moment, they begin to remove the disguise, but not before devastating some part of our mind, our body, or our heart.

And when they finally manage to destroy the old, they make space for the new.

Smile. It’s good news.

Life hasn’t forgotten you.
